Our in-house lab ensures that we can monitor and verify the quality of products we manufacture on-site or source locally. We can ensure that the design values are understood as different codes and standards evolve.
The lab also gives us the unique flexibility to design and test new, innovative products.

WORK HORSES FOR TESTING
The UTM has two force ranges for compression testing: a low range, calibrated from 5,000 N - 105,000 N (1,125 lbf - 23,600 lbf) and a high range, calibrated from 50,000N - 650,000 N (11,240 lbf - 146,125 lbf). Load data is collected using data acquisition software specific to this machine.
The UTM is suitable for testing scaffold towers and post shores, through the use of purpose-built accessories.
UNIVERSALLY DISTRIBUTED LOAD TEST MACHINE
This patented in-house test machine allows for the application of a pure UDL across the surface of scaffolding decks or planks.
It is able to accommodate decks up to 3.05 meters (10 feet) in length and up to 0.605 meters (2 feet) in width while applying a maximum load close to 100 kPa (2,000 lbf/sq. ft).

TESTING CONTROL ROOM
The lab features 16 cameras interfaced with a DVR in the control room that can be set to capture different aspects of the testing process. The video can then be downloaded to a computer and reviewed, frame by frame, to analyze failure modes that occurred during testing.
The laboratory is able to provide testing services to outside clients who wish to learn more about the mechanical properties of their products. These services can include arranging for an independent engineering firm to witness testing as well as in-depth reporting of test material description, testing procedures and complete data reporting and analysis.
